    Truck Information

I would like to provide information regarding my new 2020 F350. I hope this will be useful for members who are looking to buy a truck to tow a car trailer, pull a long camper, or a 5th wheel / gooseneck trailer. I pull a car trailer and a 5th wheel RV. I picked these options to setup the truck for success.

    7.3L gas
    10 sp comes standard
    4.30 gears
    5th wheel prep pkg
    Tow camera pkg
    upgraded Alternator
    Nav system

I installed a new B&W Companion slider hitch this passed week. Yesterday I hookup the 41' toy hauler and went on a 10 mile drive to get a real feel for how the truck responds. What I confirmed:
F350 suspension handles the tongue and pull wt with no issue
7.3L has plenty of hp to pull a load over 15k lbs and then some
10 sp trans in tow mode shifts smooth and the timing of down shift and up shift is dead on.
4.30 gears is the difference maker providing the need torque to get that load moving
If your buying or have a 5er, the 5th wheel prep pkg puck mounting system is awesome. My new B&W hitch was an easy install with the Ford puck system
The aid of the camera pkg makes for an easy alignment

I hope this helps with your future truck plans
