    Places to Cruise

Does anybody know of anywhere you can cruise like Pottstown used to be before they shut it down. Where did all the cruisers go. There used to be tons of cars up and down main street and sitting in McDonalds.

As far as I know, they still have nostalgia night in Pottstown the first Saturday of the month. I believe next Saturday will be the first one for this season. Usually starts at 5 PM. I'm planning to go.

Jackie I know they do once a month still in pottstown but years ago it was every fri and sat night. No show just cruising up to the diner and back down to Mcdonalds and around again.

Oh, right. I do remember hearing about that but I think that was before I got into the car show scene.

    Re: Places to Cruise

I've heard rumors that the used to drag race on High Street back in the day as well. It's a bummer I didn't live here back then (I live literally about a quarter mile from the McDonalds if you are heading towards the Hill School).

Oh yeah back in the day there was a lot of racing going on there, high street and 422. I would say it ended around 05 when high street was made one lane both ways. Great 1/4 mile spot up by 84 lumbar.

I don't think there is any place around like Pottstown Cruise nights use to be. I used to cruise on Friday and Saturday nights go from the VIP to Mag shop or McDonald's(if you wanted to go longer) and back. When they change the parking patterned is when they chance cruising out for go. I use to hangout at the Clock when parked, the cops were always out and they make some good money off everyone. You used to be able drag from light to light, then set up by the Mag Shop to the Post Office(went from two lanes to one) to see who one.. Good old days. Use to be able to cruise out in Wildwood, NJ but they took the fun out of that too.
